Upcoming public Dara Korra'ti/Crime and the Forces of Evil performances:

  • June 26, 2009: In the stage tent at Bothell Country Village Farmer's Market, Bothell, Washington. Showtime noon to 2pm, followed by Kris Orlowski at 4pm.

  • July 17, 2009: New venue! On stage (yay!) at Phinney Ridge Farmers' Market, just north of Woodland Park zoo in Seattle. Showtime 4pm to 6pm with a short break between sets. CANCELLED AGH! They double-booked me with another act, and I lose because I was the second one. Sadness!

  • July 24, 2009: In the stage tent at Bothell Country Village Farmer's Market, Bothell, Washington. Showtime Noon to 1pm, followed by Fae Wiedenhoeft at 1:30 and Beth Whitney at 4pm.

  • August 7, 2009: On stage (or more correctly, in tent) at Bothell Country Village Farmer's Market, Bothell, Washington. Showtime 1:30 to 3:30pm, followed by the Meho & Diego Duo at 4pm.

  • September 4, 2009: In the stage tent at Bothell Country Village Farmer's Market, Bothell, Washington. Showtime 1:30 to 3:30pm, followed by the Meho & Diego Duo at 4pm.

  • October 3, 2009: New venue! In the stage tent at Magnolia Farmer's Market, Magnolia, Seattle, Washington. Showtime is an early 11am! Two hours with a short break between sets.

Previous performance venues include the annual UNA meeting in Kenmore, Washington; Copley Square Farmer's Market in Boston, Massachusetts; Renaissance Coffee in Burnaby, British Columbia; Juanita Beach and Kirkland Wednesday Markets in Kirkland, Washington; Bothell Country Village in Bothell, Washington; Lake Forest Park Farmer's Market in Lake Forest Park, Washington; Woodinville Market in Woodinville, Washington; and many others.

With the return of festival season, I'll be playing a lot more in public arenas, though most of these will be instrumental gigs at places like the the Lake Forest Park Farmer's Market, Juanita Beach Market, and so on. If you have suggestions for places you'd like to see me play, please let me know! Check my livejournal or check back here for updates, or contact me directly for bookings.

 [flutemaking]

I make bamboo flutes and piccolos on commission. The largest I've ever made has been the very silly 1.4 metre (4'6") long flute named Splinter, in D; the smallest, the tiny E piccolo named Scar, both of which I use in performance. (But secretly, Splinter is simply a concert D and chastiser of unruly conductors.)

I am told that my flutes have an unusually pure sound for flutes of bamboo construction, while retaining the tonal impression of bamboo. But you can hear them for yourself at performance! ^_^
